Corsair - Mid isn't really one to follow conventional rules, considering how an by whom she was raised. Rules are suggestions, and Mid is apt to go along with what feels right, wether it's a rule and regulation or not. She's also not beyond a little mischief, teasing definitely being one of the ways she enjoys playing with other people. I think Corsairs fit her personality and goals much more solidly than the other choice, though in the end she could always walk the line of either faction. She would follow her heart first, either way.

CHARACTER INFO
Character: Midadol Telamon
Canon: FF16, During that weird nebulous months long time period before the trio head to Origin
Age: 16
Background Information: here. But since the wiki sucks and LAENA HATES ME...
Midadol does not actually show up during the game until after Cid has died and the timeskip has happened. She shows up at the Hideaway kind of like a whirlwind. She immediately puts Clive to work helping her make a workshop at the Hideaway, eager to follow in her father's footsteps after returning from Kanver. She sends Clive on several missions for supplies and help, and eventually once she has her workshop she promises to pay him back for all his hard work.
Once she has her workshop, Mid sets to work on her real passion project, the Enterprise, with mythril engines fashioned from Fallen technology (all funded by Lord Byron Rosfield). The most critical part of the mythril engine is of Cid's creation, who hid it within the Orchestrion Mid made when she was younger. It takes Clive finding the part before the engine is actually really finished. It takes great effort to get her the rest of the supplies she needs and to get it all to the Ironworks, but Mid takes on the project first hand, getting her hands dirty while making the engines that will be eventually used to make a ship three times as fast as a galleon at full mast. It's Mid who sails her ship during the ensuing fights with Barnabas and rescue of Jill, and it's her who manages to avoid the ship from falling into the gap created by Odin in the ensuing battle. Later, Mid is involved with the discussion on how to travel to the Shadow Coast, though her involvement remains related to the Enterprise only.
Personality:
1) Tell us about who your character is and what someone’s first impression would be upon meeting them.
Midadol (Or just Mid; I'm never going to call her by her full name, ever) is a spunky, loud, outgoing young girl who is canonically referred to as a prodigy when it comes to engineering. Attending Kanver University at the young age of 12, by 16 she already feels she's learned everything she can learn while in school and is eager to apply what she's learned to real life. She speaks as much with her body as she does with her mouth, her hands moving when she speaks and her whole body gets into it when she's really impassioned. It almost seems like she doesn't stop moving except for when she's really, seriously focusing on blueprints and inventions in front of her.
She certainly has a commanding way about her, managing to get Clive to run around to gather things and complete tasks for her requests, namely her desire for a workshop like the one at her Dad's, and then to build the engines for the enterprise. This seems to extend to people other than Clive, and it may well be because of her commanding personality that she often gets her way. Her sense of humor is a little sharp and reminiscent of her father's. She also loves to tease and play with people she feels comfortable with, her good humor and upbeat personality a bright spot when so much seems to be so heavy.
Of course, there's more to her personality than what is there upon first meeting, but it's not hard to figure out that Mid is also a good, kind-hearted person at her core. Rough around the edges in the way she speaks and her energetic unstoppable enthusiasm coats the more sensitive parts of her personality like a protective outer shell.
2) What is a driving force your character has? What goals do they have, what motivates them, etc?
Mid is largely driven by her desire to improve her craft and in some way, she also wants to help see her father's desires come to fruition as well. This is why she's keen on helping Clive and everyone else, and why she builds the enterprise. She wants to use her skills to create inventions that can be an aid to people, to make their lives easier, and to help make the world a better place to live in. She might not fully realize just how much her father's ideals have really shaped her.
Mid is no fan of war and dreads that her inventions could be used to further wars and conflicts. Because of this, and how important it is to her that things she creates follow her vision and design to help people rather than hurt them, she isn't afraid of destroying things she creates. She has no qualms about deciding to destroy the enterprise and the mythril engines to prevent it.
3) What are their flaws as a character? What is something they've messed up, or have done that they regret?
Mid is excitable and can often be overwhelming when she really gets going. This can tend to mean she's too much for more introverted personalities. This is all too clear by the way Vivian dreads her arrival at the Hideaway because she knows how Mid can be. Being loud and outgoing is somewhat of a double-edged sword in this way, and it's certainly something that Mid has experienced both sides of. In addition to this, Mid struggles with letting herself feel vulnerable. This can lead to her avoiding things she doesn't want to deal with. A good example of this is her awkward avoidance of visiting her father's grave with Cid and Otto. Her avoidance is nearly comical in the way she eventually straight-up grabs a boat to "run away" from the situation. (She does visit Cid's grave, but she does so alone, which is an important detail). She's still young and has much she can still learn with age and experience, despite being a prodigy.
Abilities & Inventory: With a cast full of people who can summon Eikons Mid is honestly... very normal. She's incredibly smart for her age, but other than that she's a 100% normal human being.
Her inventory would just include the clothes on her back.
